Hello And Welcome to a New Edition of Our Newsletter:

It is Summertime again here in the deep south. As we are very busy I would presume it to be safe to say that all is not well in the animal kingdom, BUT, we promise that we are doing all we can each day to try to correct that!

We have some great breaking news to report. Dr Craig and the entire staff at Pineville Pet Hospital are very pleased to announce that we have a new doctor on staff at the hospital. Her name is Dr Melanie Cotton Toal and whether you already know her or would just like to get acquainted we welcome you to drop by and say hello. We feel that Dr Melanie Toal is the perfect addition to our hospital and we feel that you will agree with us as you get to know her.

With respect to our ongoing endeavor of providing central Louisiana with the best quality of medicine possible we are proud to announce that we have added a special instrument to our hospital equipment list. It is called a TONO PEN and it allows us to quickly and painlessly check your pets eye pressure. This is especially important in breeds predisposed to glaucoma, geriatric (elderly) pets, and pets exposed to any type of eye inflammation or head trauma.

We also have a state of the art digital blood pressure machine for pets that helps us to monitor the cardiovascular system closely as needed.

In the pharmacy department we are excited to offer a new and novel medication to assist with weight management in our canine friends . This product is called Slentrol, and comes from Pfizer Animal Health. It is NOT recommended that you change your pets diet but rather this product helps to curb their appetite by affecting the pets satiety center to make it feel more full when eating less.
